All images contained herein are admittedly not my own and I have not included any specifically proprietary images. One such noteable and interesting of computer-generated image phenomenon I am unable to provide an example of is that of the 3D Stereogram with can be seen at the website Magic-Eye.
This is a great example of using Line-Depth.
It does a great job of taking a flat image and making the
human visual perceptions believe it is protruding from the
surface. The line is a very powerful tool in producing image
effects that suggest a three dimensional appearance.
Here is an example of Shade-Depth. Although a very
different method, it produces basically the same resultant effect
that the previous Line-Depth example above does. The way in which
the shading is produced will create different effects such as
believing the images are either converse or inverse.
