Father & Son are DIY Space Explorers
Who would have thought a father and son from Brooklyn would launch a vehicle into space and bring back some great footage of the experience? That's just what happened thanks to an inventive dad and son who attached an iPhone to thier 'vehicle' which was basically a balloon that took the instrument nearly 19 miles high.
Now, the funny thing is, a lot of things could have gone wrong, but it didn't. In fact, recovery occured very near the launch site, just 25 miles away. The problems to overcome were varied, such as having to endure extreme cold, 100mph winds and a risk of a water landing. But no matter, they were going to do something very awesome, very interesting and that involved risk.
But seriously, who would have thought that such a low-tech vehicle as weather balloons carrying some consumer high tech would allow us mere civillians a chance at space exploration? Okay, maybe a few people, but I am betting that there are going to be some up and comming news about more people trying to emulate this father and son team who reached the stars.

I am sure if you're ambitious enough you can figure out everything you need to know in order to recreate or even better this now famous launch made by a boy named Max and his father. Kudos to these two for following through and realizing dreams and goals are obtainable, if you follow them through.
