Speech-2-Texting App
Texting is all over the place news-wise. On television, in newspapers and more are stories about a text-related death or warning against texting while driving or even new laws forbidding it. How do they enforce such laws, anyway? I mean, a police officer may be able to see a seat belt missing while you're driving, but texting? One slick buton press or two and the evidence is erased from the display.
The best medicine for any ailment is preventive medicine. Why not provide a service, or feature, that translates speech to text that gets sent to a friend or Twitter? Computers do this now, after all, and the newer cell phones aren't that far behind in capabilities. There's alot to be said for hands-free, as speakerphone and earpieces became the cell phones first preventive cure for driving while talking.
Someone may be poised to make ALOT of money if they were to provide the first such service, wouldn't you think? If you text alot, would you consider such a service? Though you may not get caught texting while driving, a ticket isn't your most swaying arguement. Death or dismemberment is. So the new question becomes; would you do it for your safety instead of saving ticket money? Hmmm, I wonder and would like to know.
At any rate, this is a huge world we live in. There must be someone out there who has the means to produce such a service. If I did, I'd be tweeting about it and making it happen, knowing that it could possibly make a profit. So pass this story around! Maybe someone will read this, get the idea and actually set things in motion. Speech-To-Texting may be a reality.
