Holy Realistic Robots, Batman!!
The Japanese will always be in the forefront in the pursuit of robotic advancements it seems. A professor at the Asaka University, Hiroshi Ishiguro, has been working on very realistic robots that mimic humans in ways that may scare real human beings. One of his creations, a female version, even landed a job as an actress already!
The main Gemidoid prototype has been thoroughly documented, you can see just how everything was put together from head to hands, which were all molded from the actual creators real body parts. Only about a week ago the hands and eyes were created, and since then has all come together to produce a very lifelike humanoid imitation that just might pull the wool over alot of peoples eyes.

In a related story, a 4-yearl-old autistic girl who had problems with physical contact now hugs "everyone" where before she used to recoil or turn stiff when other little girls tried to hold her hand or hug her. Kaspar can handle facial emotions and wave its arms. There are several versions and one is being taught to play the Nintendo Wii.
